The people of St. Bernadette Parish are a Christian Community rooted in the faith and tradition of the Catholic Church. As a Christ-community, we draw upon God’s Word for direction and understanding as we journey in faith. We embody Jesus’ love and forgiveness to establish relationships with Him, each other and ourselves. Our personal and shared prayer and spirituality culminate in our Eucharistic/Liturgical celebrations. It is during these times that we gather as one body to praise and give to our Creator and to proclaim the joy of life in Jesus as seen in each other. We further recognize that each of us has been gifted by God with unique abilities and abundant resources that we contribute to the life of the parish and extended community by the practicing of Christian charity, social justice and civic responsibility. Our openness and commitment to the power of the Spirit in our lives enables us to realize and develop these individual gifts and talents. Under the guidance of the Spirit we encourage and affirm this diversity that all share the responsibility of building up the Body of Christ. |
