St. Gerard is the patron saint of mothers. This is a group of mostly pre-school moms who get together to share joys, concerns, and stories of the trials and tribulations of motherhood. This is not just a social group. Some of the service have been: Easter baskets and cards for hospital patients, Halloween party involving costumed kids visiting nursing homes with cookies and cider; Christmas decorations for the elderly; filed trips to the zoo and kiddy parks; moms’ night out with guest speakers covering topics of mutual interest; moms’ fun nights; and spiritual agenda including monthly rosary program and mothers’ day of reflection open to the entire parish community. This is a wonderful group of moms who are looking for new members to share your talents, your insights and your new ideas. What a delightful way to bring new sharing to the parish community.
