Eucharistic ministers fulfill a ministry of service to the parish by distributing the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass and/or to the sick and homebound. Eucharistic ministers must be recommended by the Pastor, attend a diocesan training program within the parish district, be appointed by the Bishop and formally commissioned as a Minister of the Eucharist. The age restriction is high school graduate and up. Ministers are generally scheduled every four to five weeks at a Mass of their choosing. Distribution to the sick and homebound is handled on an as needed basis. For more information contact the Parish Office.
